I love to read and do it whenever I can! I try to read everyday! Sometimes when I don't know what a word means, I look around the word to see the surrounding words.... or I look in the dictionary. :)

I agree that the more you read the smarter you are because books are written for learners, by learners. The more you learn, the more you are able to share, and if something is shared by a person who has alot of learning experience, you can infer that you will learn the great things that someone before you have learned. Ideas can be recycled, and so can the things you learn.Bottles go in the blue box, and books are the converter of ideas into a curious mind.;)

Oh, and it's be nice if you did't go on my website yet, because it's not done. I also have another website called note-passing.webs.com, but that one is still under construction.I think that once my website is published, the more you read my website, the more you wil learn, because the ideas I have added are those I have thought upon on myself, and the ones that I think are correct.I also think that even though learning may be classified into 'important' and 'just junk', whatever you learn can be used again in life. For example,I can connect to a time when I was flipping through a comic book with an evil villain that said, " MUAAHAHAHHAHA! I will now use minc control to use upon all 6 billion humans on Earth!" Ok, so I might not have read that comic book, but now I know how much the earth is populated! It's somewhat like a detective searching for clues. This shows that you can learn from evil villains as well.;)

Yes! I do think reading makes you smarter. Because when you read, you learn new words and what they mean, how to pronounce words, and even spelling.

Yes! I totally agree because when you read, you learn more about the topic of the book. Even if it is a fiction book, they have some good information too, sometimes. Non fiction books are all fact.

I think reading is definetely a key to learning. Reading the slightest things can improve your everyay life.A recipe can help you in the future so you dont stuff your face with junk food every night, and reading your textbook can get you an A on your geography test. Most people dont realize this, but even fictional books have a great impact on children--even adults! They offer a sense of imagination, and even reveal things about everyday life.

I believe that the more you read the smarter you are. Even if the book is a picture book... ITWWAV picture narrows down Earth to a small 100 people village. In this book you can see the amount of people that are hunger and homeless while only very small amounts of people like us can live happily with extra money to "waste" on things that we want to buy! :( Most people can just afford to live in the village and some fall way under the village costs and do not even have enough water to drink when they are thirsty. Many people don't even go to school and must spend long periods of their day just to find water to drink... which isn't even clean most o the time... I find that very sad... But I seem to be going off topic. Even fictional books can teach you things about our world even though they are not informational books like non-fictional books... a villain and Superman could be fighting in space on Mars.... you might learn where Mars is located and what it looks like in space... But reading doesn't always make you smart. If you were to read the same comic book with Superman and the villain in space then you may think that space is exactly like Earth because Superman can breathe there! It often depends on what type of book you are reading but there is always even the tiniest hint of fact in every book!
